Hostinger has grown into one of the most popular budget hosts by pairing very low first-term prices with a clean, beginner-friendly control panel called hPanel. If you are launching a first blog, portfolio or small business site, it is usually on the shortlist. The question worth asking is not how cheap it starts, but what it costs once the first term ends.
Hostinger web hosting plans
Hostinger currently sells three web hosting plans, all priced on a 48-month prepaid term:
- Premium: $2.99/mo for the first term, renewing at $10.99/mo. Three websites, 20 GB SSD storage, weekly backups, a free domain for one year and two mailboxes per site.
- Unlimited: $3.99/mo, renewing at $16.99/mo. Unlimited websites, 50 GB NVMe storage and daily backups with easy restore.
- Cloud Startup: $7.99/mo, renewing at $25.99/mo. Unlimited websites, 100 GB NVMe storage and daily plus on-demand backups.
On a 48-month Premium term you pay $143.52 upfront. Shorter terms and monthly billing cost more per month.
What we like
hPanel is one of the easiest control panels to learn, and one-click WordPress installs take minutes. Free SSL, a free first-year domain and email are included on every plan, which keeps the starting cost genuinely low. The jump from Premium to Unlimited is small for the first term and brings daily backups, which we think are worth having for any site you care about.
What to watch for
The renewal gap is the big one. Premium more than triples at renewal, and the free domain and mailboxes are only free for the first year. Weekly backups on the entry plan are thin protection for a site that changes often, so add a backup plugin or choose Unlimited.
Who should choose Hostinger
Hostinger is a good fit for new websites, hobby projects and small business pages where budget matters most. Pick the Unlimited plan if you want daily backups or expect to run more than three sites, and set a calendar reminder to review your plan before the 48-month term ends.
How it compares
Compared with Bluehost, Hostinger starts lower but renews slightly higher on its entry plan, and Bluehost needs only a 36-month term for its best price. Against Namecheap, Hostinger offers a more polished panel while Namecheap keeps renewals lower. Run the four-year total before choosing.
The verdict
Few hosts make getting online this cheap or this simple. Go in knowing the renewal price, and Hostinger is easy to recommend for beginners.
